As we get started, the first step is to set up a consult to see if we are a good fit. Please email or call me to set up a time to connect. If I do not answer my phone, please leave a detailed message with your name, phone number, and a good time to reach you. This is a secure mailbox where confidentiality will be maintained. Please feel free to leave as many or as few details as you feel comfortable with.
Questions you can expect during our initial call:
What goals do you have for therapy?
What type of therapy/therapist are you looking for? It is okay if you are not totally sure yet.
Have you had therapy before? What was your experience like? Helpful or disappointing?
What brings you to therapy? What would you most like to work on?
You can expect me to ask these questions during our free 15-20 minutes consultation over the phone. This is for me to get a better sense of what you are looking for out of a therapist and to make sure that I can be the best person to support you and your needs. My hope is you will be able to read and think these over before our call so you feel better prepared and more in control of the process. You are welcome to ask me any questions you might have about myself or the therapeutic process.
